Luton Culture’s Stakeholders & Business exhibition will enable Luton BID partners and businesses to see the exciting plans and hear about the latest developments which are transforming the Hat District – promising more vibrancy, and aiming to attract 136,000 new visitors and create 133 new jobs in Luton town centre.
This event is organised by Luton Culture – details of how to attend are further below.
Luton BID supported Luton Culture’s application for LIP funding, helping to attract £375,000 of investment into the town centre. The BID has also financially supported the programme to the amount of £10,000 per year for three years.
The plans involve the renovation of three former Luton hat factories which will be revamped to provide 25,000 sq. ft. of new work space for creative industries.
Key project personnel from Luton Culture will also be on hand to answer any questions, including:
- CEO and Hat District Project Lead, Marie Kirbyshaw
- Director of Operations & Customer Care, Richard Clinton
- Director of Culture & Engagement, Karen Perkins
Contractors, project managers and cost consultants from Hewitt Freeborn Associates will also be available to talk through specifics of the process.
