When it comes to our local business community, we have much to celebrate in Luton. Businesses have supported local people through the pandemic and are now essential to driving our recovery. By celebrating and recognising businesses’ contributions from across our town, we can help drive our local economy.

To show my appreciation of our business community, I launched my first Luton South Small Business Awards last November. The awards gave local residents the opportunity to say thank you to their favourite small businesses. In each ward area, I presented the winner with a certificate to recognise their achievement. The nominees and winners reflected our town’s brilliant diversity, from New Ambala in Dallow to Sahara Bee in the indoor market in The Mall. It was a privilege to speak to so many dedicated owners and staff members about their contribution to our town.

As your Member of Parliament in Luton South, I want to meet as many local business owners as possible so I can make your case to Government. Please feel free to contact me at rachel.hopkins.mp@parliament.uk. Together, we can create a thriving local economy where our whole community can prosper.
