Luton town centre has a vibrant range of food outlets and is also home to Lutonians family favourites, have a read of some classic Luton choices…

Greenfields

A family favourite restaurant serving up classic British grub for decades, a stop at Greenfields is always on the cards for anyone growing up as a child in Luton town centre. Greenfields has been a regular favourite in The Mall for over 40 years now, the rustic interior is an instant reminder of youth and nostalgia.

Friendly staff to welcome you for a quick bite to eat with friends, a breakfast of champions to start the day or a pit-stop coffee from all the shopping. Greenfields was most recently featured in ‘Blinded by the Light’ – a 2019 film set in 1987 about a boy named Javed, from Luton, drawn towards Bruce Springsteen’s music. And just like the film, Greenfields has remained exactly the same, an interior taking you back to the 80s, with welcoming faces greeting you to your table, Greenfields has remained gloriously the same ever since.

Why not enjoy a yummy milkshake (perfect for even those big kids!) or maybe a delicious burger and chips for the post-match hunger, and who can forget about the amazing pancakes!

Make sure you stop by Greenfields on your next shopping trip, it certainly doesn’t disappoint and let us know what your favourite thing about Greenfields is!

Whether it’s a lunchtime run or a tea paired with one of their delicious homemade cakes, stop by Robby’s Tea Shop for a friendly welcome and hot cuppa tea!

We can’t resist a trip to Robby’s Tea Shop in the gallery of The Mall, a cosy interior with a wide variety of sandwiches to choose from on your lunch break. What better place to have an afternoon tea, cake and enjoy good company than Robby’s Tea Shop. A perfect place to wind down the week or enjoy your manic lunch break in peace…
