A guide to Luton town centre on match day!

Whoop! Whoop!

Any Luton fans will of course be aware of the win against Reading on Saturday, meaning that Luton have now entered into the semi-final of the Championship. And are now going up against Huddersfield on Friday 13th May. For those who don’t know, this means that Luton may well be scoring their way into the Premier League!

For any footie fans, what better way to prepare than a big meal and some drinks in the sun ahead of the big game? We’ve compiled a list of places any good Luton fan should check out…

Pre-match grub

You can’t watch the exciting game on an empty stomach, try a new spot in the town centre before heading to the game, why not head to…

The Engine offers a wide range of tasty food for everyone to enjoy, grab a succulent burger before you head to the pub for some pre-match drinks.

Right beside The Engine, Murganos Grill offers up tasty flame grilled chicken, perfect for if you’re on the go or want to sit back and relax.

Head to the White House or the Red Lion for some pre-football grub and drinks with mates before heading straight off to the match and back again to celebrate.

Why limit yourself to one option, when you can have them all at Hong Buffet! Enjoy a wide selection of all-you-can-eat Seafood and Pan-Asian dishes.

If none of that tickles your fancy – then see more food offerings in our Enjoy Luton guide, see here.

Pre-match drinks

Choose from any good pub in the town centre for a pre-game drink to get the day started, but you can’t write a good Luton town football pub list without naming the Wheelwright Arms

The Wheelwright Arms is a classic Luton town fan pub that won’t disappoint if looking to kick off all the football fun. Luton fans are seen packed into the homely joint, showing true Luton pride with a football mural on the side of the beer garden wall.

After one or two drinks in the Wheelwright Arms, head to George II or The Great Northern to meet the other Luton fans before running off to catch some pre-match grub.

Brewery Tap’s Summer Garden is the perfect spot to enjoy the match game vibes, have a laugh in the beaming sun with a glass of your favourite drink whilst watching the game.

Enjoy the match and come on you Hatters! For a more in-depth look at all the amazing options in the town centre, check out our Enjoy Luton guide here.

And don’t forget to click here to check out the charity single H-A-T-T-E-R-S by local Luton band Cerber Stacks which gives a great shout out to some of our venues.
