The Mall Luton is playing host to a range of free events this summer, including the story-themed Summer Tales and Trails.

From 25th July – 31st August, various story themed props will be scattered around The Mall for visitors to find. With everything from Paddington to Harry Potter, these props represent some of the most famous stories of all time.

Visitors can pick up a trail guide from the Summer Reading Garden, located in Church Street, or the Ask Me Point, find each of the props, and answer questions based on what they find The guides can then be returned to the box in the Summer Reading Garden to be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 voucher to spend at The Entertainer.

These fantastic props will also be the subjects of a photo competition running on social media. Guests are encouraged to take photos of themselves with these iconic items and upload their photos to their social platform of choice using the hashtag #TheMallTalesandTrails. All photos posted with the correct hashtag will be entered into a draw to win a £50 voucher for The Entertainer.

Alongside Summer Tales and Trails, The Mall is also hosting iconic book characters for meet and greet sessions, runningeach Thursday from 28th July. Guests can come for a photo opportunity with Paddington Bear, The Gruffalo, Peter Rabbit, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and The Very Hungry Caterpillar, at intervals between 11am – 4pm.

The creative writing competition is also running until 5th September, where children can use their imagination to create a short story based around their favourite book character to win £125 for themselves and £250 worth of books for their school.
