Celebrate Everything About Us: coming to Luton from 14 to 20 April
About Us’is the opening show of UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK, a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of creativity taking place across the UK this year. It is a free, awe-inspiring outdoor performance using cutting-edge projection mapping, animation, music and poetry to celebrate our extraordinary connections to everything around us: past, present and future. Featuring new music by composer Nitin Sawhney. You can find out more about the event online at: aboutus.earth.
Luton will be the first English location on this exciting tour of towns. We have spent the last few months working closely with our partners at Luton Borough Council to ensure that our plans for the event minimise inconvenience to our neighbours as a few roads will need to be closed in the area, and some of your normal access routes may be disrupted.

INFORMATION FOR LUTON BUSINESSES – UPDATE:
I have a business on one of the closed roads (incl. George Street) – how and when can I get access for deliveries?
Our event site will be along the full length of George Street and into Town Hall Square, so we are unable to keep any of the roads mentioned above fully open for unscheduled deliveries in the evenings. However, we are committed to ensuring that we are causing as little disruption as possible for local businesses, and so will work with you to assist with your delivery route. We will have business access permits to allow any of your delivery drivers through the closures with our assistance.
Will the event be noisy and disrupt my business?
The evening event will start nightly at 20:30 from Thursday 14 April until Wednesday 20 April 2022. During the daytime, there will be plinths playing content (not loudly) on George Street and in Town Hall Square, which is likely to bring some business into town.
Please note, we will be running some sound tests from 10:00 – 20:00 on Tuesday 12th April and Wednesday 13th April; and again from 14:00 – 18:00 on Thursday 14th April.
I am a food or drink business. Will you be bringing in outside vendors to compete with me?
No, we are specifically not bringing in any outside food or beverage vendors, to encourage audience members visiting Luton to enjoy the local night-time economy.
I have a question. How can I get in touch with you in advance of the event?
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with ‘Luton Business’ in the subject line if you wish to discuss a specific issue – we would be more than happy to help with any concerns you may have.
How do I get in touch while you are on-site if I have an issue?
Our site phone will be live and manned 24hrs from when we arrive on-site on Friday 8th April, and for the Full Event Duration.
