4th March 2016: Luton town centre will come alive with dancing and singing this Saturday (12th March), with the line-up unveiled for the first of Luton BID’s ‘Luton Live’ days.
This Saturday, 12th March visitors to St George’s Square will be treated to family friendly performances between 12noon to 4pm, including the likes of tap dancing, Luton Lighthouse Choir, folk music and much more.
‘Luton Live’ has been planned by Luton Business Improvement District (BID) to encourage more visitors into the town centre and to showcase and celebrate the diverse creative arts scene in Luton.
Gavin O’Brien, Chair of the Luton BID Board, said: “We’ve organised the ‘Luton Live’ days to celebrate all that is great about Luton town centre, to help visitors explore Luton and of course, to celebrate our great cultural and creative offering.”
This is just the first in a whole series of street entertainment days. Luton Live will take to the town centre on the second Saturday of every month from March to October.

- Melody Marshall Compere
- Rebecca Rhythm: After appearances at Roni Scott’s and numerous national competitions Rebecca Rhythm will donning her tap shoes and mixing traditional tap with contemporary music and routines.
- Luton Lighthouse Choir
- Scribble Victory: Classic folk pop duo complete with guitar, cajon and two part harmonies.
