3rd December 2015 Three more lucky Luton residents have had their Christmas dreams come true, with winning tickets in the Luton Christmas Cracker – is yours the winning ticket?
Saliha Patel had a baby girl just four weeks ago and said her £250 voucher couldn’t have come at a better time. “A couple of my friends knew about the Christmas Cracker draw and so I picked up a ticket in Boots – which is also where I’ve chosen to spend my voucher,” she said. “There are so many things to buy with a new baby – nappies, toiletries, things like that – so it’s just perfect to have won the Luton Christmas Cracker. I’m so happy!”
Sabina Islam, the second name out of the hat, was also looking forward to be able to treat friends and family with her voucher. “I’m absolutely ecstatic, I can’t believe I’ve actually won,” she said. “I love Luton town centre, I’m there every day. I’m a huge fan of Playstation 4 so I’m chosen GAME and I’m going to get myself the new Call of Duty. I’m going to be able to get my friends some things as well, which is amazing. It’s such a great prize draw.”
A third winner, Lisa Taplin, has been awarded a year’s membership for The Gym.
The draw has been funded and organised by Luton Business Improvement District (BID). In total, eight winners will each receive a £250 voucher to spend anywhere they choose in the town centre, while a further four winners will walk away with gift cards donated by local businesses.
Gavin O’Brien, Chair of the Luton BID Board, said: “The BID has been delighted with the response to the Luton Christmas Cracker – is yours the winning ticket? Our special post boxes have been filling up rapidly and it’s so exciting finding out who has won these great prizes, all to be spent with Luton town centre businesses. There are still six winners to announce so anyone who fancies an early Christmas present should get their tickets posted quickly.”
Three draws remain for the Luton Christmas Cracker – is yours the winning ticket? Tickets can be found in shops and businesses around the town centre. The remaining draws will take place on the 9th and 16th of December. Hand post your ticket in one of the six Luton Christmas Cracker post boxes, which are located in The Mall (Ask Me point and near the Grotto); Travel Centre/Starbucks; Central Library; The Galaxy and Delikatesy Polskie Smaczek (49, George Street).
