14th June 2016: A tastebud-tingling food and drink trail is being planned for Luton town centre this summer – with local restaurants, cafes and bars invited to take part.

Luton Business Improvement District (BID) is organising the tasty trail to promote the diverse range of food and drink businesses based in the town centre. Businesses are being encouraged to offer reduced prices, free tasters and money off vouchers for the one day Food and Drink Trail, set to take place on Saturday, 6th August.

Gavin O’Brien, Chair of Luton BID and director of town centre business Clearhead, said: “Our food and drink trail is yet another reason for visitors to come into our town centre, to enjoy and savour the vast array of eateries we have offer. Luton BID is committed to support our town centre businesses and to improving the town centre environment and offering. This hits the mark and on the same day as our Food and Drink Trail we are organising another afternoon of live entertainment, again designed to entice visitors into the town centre and encourage our shoppers to stay longer and enjoy and visit the array of businesses based here.”

To help shape the Food and Drink Trail event Luton BID is setting up an event working group and is appealing for businesses to get involved.

If you are interested in joining the working group and/or being part of the Food and Drink Trail please contact a member of the BID team by calling 01582 510657 or emailing info@lutonbid.org.
