Luton Business Improvement District (BID) is working with Luton Council to pinpoint town centre locations in need of additional cleaning.
Two of the BID directors – Gavin O’Brien Luton BID Chairman and Roy Greening BID Vice-Chairman / general manager of The Mall – joined the BID manager Julia Horsman, Luton Council’s Street Cleansing Manager William Greene, and two supervisors during a walk around the town to highlight specific areas in need of attention.
Over the coming days and weeks, Luton Council Cleansing Team will be using a steam machine under benches, exteriors of bins and other hard to reach areas.
Julia Horsman, Luton BID Manager said: “Luton BID is committed to making the town centre more attractive and appealing for visitors and workers because our local businesses tell us it’s important. We are delighted to continue to collaborate with the council team to help them target the most challenging areas.”
