The Magic of Christmas has arrived at Luton Point, with its highly anticipated Enchanted Forest Grotto now officially open to the public.
In conjunction with the Lighting Up Luton event on Saturday 23rd November, the Enchanted Forest Grotto saw booked out slots on its opening day for families to meet Father Christmas in Central Square. Children enjoyed exploring the log cabin nestled amongst the trees, meeting the Elves and decorating their very own Christmas crafts to take home.
The first guests to attend the Enchanted Forest Grotto were the winners of Luton Point’s social media competition which gave one lucky family a VIP experience to enjoy the grotto, alongside a £150 voucher to spend at The Entertainer for some Christmas shopping and a goody bundle. The winners, brothers Elliot, Logan, Noah and Hudson were thrilled with their prize, and enjoyed their magical time with Father Christmas, posing for photos to remember their visit.
This year Luton Point’s grotto is supporting The Lewis Foundation, with the £3 entry fee per child and all donations going to the local charity to provide hampers for those going through cancer treatment in the surrounding area this Christmas. Free entry is however available to anyone making a £20+ spend at stores at the shopping centre that day, shoppers just need to present their receipts to the friendly woodland elves on arrival.
Slots are available to pre-book now to avoid disappointment, with a small number of walk-up visits permitted per day.
Quiet sessions will also be held on Sundays from 10am and will offer a quieter experience with more time to complete activities. For these sessions, the centre will be turning off their music system (which will only be used for emergencies) and no fire alarm testing will take place. To enquire for bookings for these sessions, visitors can email hello@atomicbee.co.uk where allocation will be on a first come, first served basis.
Alongside its fantastic events, Luton Point boasts a huge array of shops under one roof, perfect for ticking off those wish lists. To ensure there’s plenty of time for shoppers to find the perfect Christmas gifts, the centre will have extended opening hours for the festive period, including late night shopping with free parking. From Monday 16th December to Saturday 21st December, the centre will be open from 8am to 8pm, and the car parks will be free from 5pm each day.
Lavinia Douglass, Marketing Manager at Luton Point, commented: “We are thrilled to announce the opening of the Enchanted Forest Grotto here at Luton Point. We are proud to offer this exciting and festive experience to local families, who can enjoy a visit to Father Christmas, photo opportunities and crafting activities from the convenience of our shopping centre. Families can pre-book their visit now from our website to guarantee their space, with the £3 entry fee supporting The Lewis Foundation, a fantastic charity who we are always thrilled to champion. We look forward to seeing you there.”
