11th December 2017: A dynamic light display brought St George’s Square to life this weekend – all part of Luton Business Improvement District’s (BID) free Christmas events.

In line with the BID’s objective to improve the visitor experience in Luton town centre, the BID arranged for the dynamic light display to be projected onto Luton Central Library on 8th and 9th December – a giant three-minute display of current and historic images to celebrate Luton town centre’s history and appeal.

Marie Kirbyshaw, BID director and Luton Culture chief executive said: “It was great to see such powerful images of Luton town centre’s past and present projected onto Luton Central Library at the weekend. The BID’s dynamic light display really did bring St George’s Square to life and capture the pride we have in our town, which was fantastic to see. Promoting Luton’s diversity, vibrancy and attractions is important to the BID and we are delighted to be hosting events like this in the town centre for people to enjoy at Christmas and all year round.”

Other Christmas highlights being organised by Luton BID:

  • Saturday 16th December – Merry Christmas from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
