Special guests PJ Masks™ will be meeting families on Saturday, November 23 on George Street ahead of Luton’s Christmas light switch-on.
Families and fans will be able to meet and greet the trio, completely free of charge thanks to Luton Business Improvement District (BID). Luton BID have arranged for this year’s special guests to visit the town centre and join the light switch on.
Catboy, Owlette and Gekko from The PJ Masks will be available for meet and greets on George Street at separate intervals from 2.30pm.
Fergus McLardy, Manager for Luton BID, said: “It’s great to be teaming up with the council again to ensure Christmas in our town centre is a great family celebration. By bringing PJ Masks into Luton the BID is confident there will be even more reasons for families to visit the town centre during the festive sason. Lighting Up Luton will be a day of festivities. Not only will shoppers be able to meet Catboy, Owlette and Gekko, there will also be masses of other entertainment throughout the day. Don’t forget to bring your cameras everyone!”
As part of Lighting Up Luton, organised by Luton Borough Council and sponsored by London Luton Airport, there will be stage entertainment and street activities from 12noon in St George’s Square before the light switch on.
PJ Masks™ will be then be heading over to The Town Hall for the official lights switch-on at 6.15pm.
Other festive highlights, brought to you by Luton BID, will include:
- Saturday 14 December: A variety of Christmas Entertainment, provided by Luton BID, 11am – 4pm.
- Saturday 21 December: Luton Concert Band will be performing in St George’s Square 12noon-2pm.
Saturday, 23 November will also see the launch of the Nutcracker Grotto in The Mall, open daily until Christmas Eve.
On selected dates (7th & 8th, 14th & 15th, 21st – 24th December) the Grotto experience will be followed by the Gingerbread Elf workshop.
