10th December 2018: Father Christmas and a host of walkabout entertainers will return to the town centre for the second year during the popular Santa in Luton event.
Luton Business District Improvement (BID) has arranged for Santa, Mrs Claus, Christmas elves, stilt walkers, jugglers and dancers to meet and greet families on Saturday 15th December as they wander through town centre streets between 11am – 4pm.
The event will take place on one of the busiest retailing days of the year and is all part of Luton BID’s programme of free Christmas events aimed at adding extra festive sparkle and building the reputation of the town centre as a great place to shop and be entertained.
Stuart Sadler, Luton BID director and owner of Sadler Hair & Beauty added: “The BID’s Santa in Luton event added a real festive feel and brought Christmas cheer to the town centre last year, and we are very excited to be running it again for the second time. Our walkabout acts and the big man himself will provide some really exciting entertainment as part of our commitment to promote Luton town centre and bring more visitors into the area during December and all year round.”
Luton BID has arranged free entertainment every Saturday in December and the final Christmas event is Carol Singing on St George’s Square on Saturday 22nd December, performed by Luton Choral Society.
